Is rigid USA/soon UK career paths...

like College/Uni then doctor/dentist/lawyer and the rest are low paid forever, is this a bad thing for a human or is it in line with Hegelian ideals and good for us all? I am mulling it over.

Many successful people are not on any of those paths. Many on those paths are not as successful as they might appear to be.

Oh a Harry Potter Muggle! Forgive me, Kind Sir. Yes, the question really means: Is it better to just accept the boredom of work and do it and make the best of as it is healthier for the soul then drinking all day or messing around on speedboats. Sorry bout the misunderstanding... Champ.

Wilbury - Thanks, that is great post. I must make it clear I would like everyone to be successful but it all just seems so anemic. I know Ur right though.

@Wilbury...That would be dependent on how one defines "successful".
