i get it when i am not having enough sleep, is that your case?
@SW-User I think so..

Everyone experiences it but most don't remember it. It's to stop you from acting out your dreams. It doesn't work very well with sleepwalkers, and some people have died by walking off balconies and the like.
Mine started when I was 12 and lasted a few decades. I decided to embrace it instead of being afraid. That’s when it stopped. Interesting fact: 1/3 of the people afflicted also have narcolepsy.

Wow, how do you do it? I've only experienced it once and it was the worst.

@buttercup97 sure I can. Well, I remember waking up and it was late. I wanna say around 4, 5 a.m. I see the ceiling of my room and the surroundings. I can see and listen but I'm in this weird state where I'm conscious and can't move. I feel a heavy weight on my chest as I try to get up. I see a figure right next to me. It has a hood and it's looking right down at me. That was the only reason I wanted to get up. I try and try to move at least my arm to push whatever was next to me. As I'm struggling I feel my arm move little by little until I was finally able to. But when I did, the figure had disappeared.
After this happened, I was somewhat pysically tired and just put the blanket on top of my head and went back to sleep
@xRedx Thanks for sharing. I just have a strong feeling like there's someone around me but I haven't seen one thank God and I'm starting to panic inside. One thing I couldn't stop doing instead of being calm. >_>

@buttercup97 I've only experienced it once, and I was confused. But at time I was already exhausted and just decided to go to sleep. People say praying helps, I just wanted to push it away. Anyway, hopefully it doesn't happen again to either of us

Oh an you get sleep paralysis because you are awake mentally but your body thinks it’s asleep.
@ConcealMySins Have you experienced it?
ConcealMySins · 22-25, M
@buttercup97 yup it’s pretty trippy. It’s like walking in real life but you see yourself on your bed sleeping..
ConcealMySins · 22-25, M
Yea but after that you can basically control your dreams. It’s called lucid dreaming/ astral projection.

Because sleep doesn't want to let you go just yet obviously.
