How do you treat the waiters in a restaurant?

One time I went to a restaurant with an acquaintance and she was talking down to the waiter. I never came back.

Cant stand people who treat waiters shop assistants etc etc like crap. The elitist attitude is enough to make u hope the waiter tips some hot soup on thier ignorant heads
