When the kid comes home and says the kids at school pushed him into a thorn bush. Why are kids so cruel?

I don't think individual kids are cruel, but groups, in general, are. Put two or more people (nomatter the age) and give them the feeling of superiority and they will probably abuse. That's our nature I'm afraid.
