how many times can you forgive a friend or partner before walking away?

I have much less patience now than I used to. I know disappointments will change my attitude towards them so even if I am not physically walking away, I've checked out somehow.

I'd give them two chances. If I forgive it doesn't mean I'll keep them.. after the 2nd chance.. goodbye to them!

It usually depends on if they’re able to accept their wrongs and not make constant excuses. If it gets to the point where it’s tiresome and I feel as if I’m repeating myself then I forget about the relationship all together but no more than three times should be necessary sometimes two. It depends on the person and and what I’m forgiving them for.

We all make mistakes. As long as that's what they are. MISTAKES.
But when it comes to the fundamentals. Being faithful; not being abusive; being in control of money; alcohol; drugs; etc.
If they repeatedly abuse any or all of those......time's up.
