Nice guys don't say they are nice guys.

@Plain Self advertising is always suspect. And, if a guy is really nice, unnecessary.

@greenmountaingal it can be , and often is, said in a context other than self advertising. I know lots of genuinely nice guys who've stated, in various contexts, "I'm a nice guy".

@Plain It's only suspect in the context of a guy saying this to a woman he is just getting to know, like on a first date. It's as if he needs to bolster up her first impression instead of feeling that his decency will soon become obvious to her.

@eunlee I'm not sure what butthurt means but you made a post and I know from experience that you're wrong so I'm just saying so. Reducing it to meaningless and inaccurate catch phrases like "nice guys don't say they are nice guys" closes your mind and stops you growing. And you might miss out on getting to know some nice guys too with your simplistic prejudice.

@greenmountaingal ok sure in that context I'll agree I might possibly be suspicious of his motives too.
