The purpose of "Black Lives Matter" is defeated when people ignore the embedded racism in the U.S. and how the criminal justice system gives variable punishment severity based on what an individual person believes to be fit upon the accused just by OBSERVING the defendant. It also gives individuals the freedom to decide when person can be prosecuted or arrested for a crime. These are key places that give way for injustice and have proven to actually have been taken advantage of. Black lives matter comes into play when it has been quite plainly seen that race has been the reason behind the unjustified executions, arrests, convictions, unexplainably harsh punishments, and jailings of black people and the direct opposite (rejection of capital punishment, not being arrested for a crime another race identifier)
