How would you react

If you lived life being told how different you are not giving a damn being proud of it flaunting it, refusing to feel any different or less of a human than anyone else. That you take a trip to the doctors only for them to tell you your autistic. Than you realize people were right you are different but not in a good way. And not the kind of autism that makes people geniuses the kind that makes people dumb and unable to communicate on a normal level. So the only time being told your different actually meant something opened your eyes to what others see that you didn't and the shock you experience rocked your world in the most negitave way you could imagine. How would you react to this scenario?

That would be devastating news. Because autism is not discovered by a definitive test, I might keep searching for answerd.

@SweetMae I like your thinking, but what if you've been told by 2 shrinks and have every trait mentally and physically of autism? And didn't even know it until a professional told you and once you started noticing your exactly like the other autistic people How would you react?

@Mcduck8982 I would be devastated like I said. You may not feel as smart as you mentioned above, but you have to be your own advocate. Read as much as you can. Join a support group. Learn what you can change and what you can't. This is your life you can make some changes for the better.

@SweetMae oh I'm not autistic! Just a scenario hoping to get people to think and better understand what it may be like in someone else's shoes that's all!
