I find him utterly repulsive, I wish he would just leave. He won't, he knows I don't like him. He ignores my hatred towards him. I wonder what makes people cling on to Someone that doesn't want them.

He is the only one who can technically answer this qn. Chances are he just loves you so much he is prepared to ignore your hatred. Even so, no one deserves to live like this. Why don't you formalise a separation?
