How long do employers take to call and tell you if you got the job or no ?

I sent my CV yesterday, and the dude called me like 10 minutes after. And he asked me to write something for him as a test to see if I'm competent enough.
I did, he said okay, thanks and stuff.

Now I'm waiting....Ugh, I wanna know ! :c

Most jobs would do an interview before they'd offer you the position, so that's probably what will come next. If he got back to you 10 mins later that means they're moving fast, but I'd still expect the process to take about a week at minimum.
