I bring drinks and a cooler of ice ,
but I am always asked to just bring me and my guitar
If I will play they will feed me ,,,LOL
So I have to play for my supper is that it ?

@rckt148 no I'm not particularly interested in being serenaded by music but if you want to bring your guitar as well that's fine

Then I would bring wine (though I don't drink anymore )
Guitar is always in the car or truck
People I know invite me to cookout because they really want me to play ,
its kind of a normal thing ,,
and its not a serenaded ,its a show ,but lots of fun
