So . . . Does anybody know the real story?

It was a thought experiment designed by Soviet Sociology scientists to determine whether the 'West' was ripe for invasion...

Apparently we are, but they are too busy laughing at all the diaper and spanking posts to actually do any invading!

I'm pleased this site has appeared; I think EP gave a forum to large numbers of otherwise disenfranchised people. I also think it kept many from straying into much more dangerous places simply because they have interests/urges/fantasies that aren't mainstream and even though I find some hard to relate to or distasteful, I'm happier to have them here and to a degree moderated than push people into the dark web.

Idk about the real story.. But here's my personal view.. As an outsider and just a habitual user..

EP was made to be a Social help site for a specific cause.. But it morphed into a crazed social site for random people and goofballs and horrid perverts and annoying AF trolls..

They (the site owner(s))couldn't control it so they baled. Basicly they didn't care about the actual users wants and needs they just did what they wanted as did the users so it got ugly and they closed.

I heard there were legal issues like lawsuits and such and also bad publicity about kids being kidnaped and also some site user being killed or something or other.. I didn't pursue said stories in detail.. But basicly they were getting a bad rep in the media for being an unsafe social site ..

Among other things.. They just saved themselves and abandoned the site..

*sigh*

I think this site is much better.. They know their users and they listen and they do what they can to keep said users safe and secure from each other..

I'm thankful and greatfull to the makers of this site for saving us from a social site withdrawal we would have had otherwise (as EP addicts)

Anyway that's my limited view of the matters.. From what little I saw and heard.

Idk maybe they were just frustrated.. (The EP management) I guess they have a right to be fed up too.. They basicly just suspended the site..

I don't really blame them I guess..

But I think this place is nice now..

EP was based in the US and subject to US laws. The people running EP was becoming more and more concerned with US law enforcement's ability to force web sites to turn over what ever information they requested. EP always put the privacy of their users first and foremost, and they felt this was a threat. EP decided to cease operations as we know it, whether they return is speculation.

SW isn't based in the US, and therefore not bound to necessarily honor US search warrants.

From what I heard, was about problems of privacy, with governments and other people invading the privazy of the users, and the fact that the site was going in the diferent direction from what was suposed to be going.

The Soviet conspiracy is a nice one. But the problem is that Russia is Imperialistic since they always were, even during the USSR. And China is Maoist with big changes made since Mao, with some capitalist influences.

Living in California, south of San Francisco, I, like many EP members was invited to a meet and greet in the City. My GF, now my wife, was into swinging big time. So we attended the meet and greet, met some really nice people, both employees and guests. The CEO, the CFO, and several other top employees were there. A very warm welcome, they wanted to introduce themselves and their Company. I thought then, and still think it was an awesome event and we were glad we went. We discussed what would be improvements and one particular subject kept coming up. “Minors”. As far as their demise, I can only speculate and listen to other ideas. I never heard of anyone getting kidnapped, or any deaths, I was led to believe the minor issue was the main cause. No controls in place to protect them. They would join and participate and only if you read their posts could you think possibly their age. Of course they denied it. The company had so many members they had to shut it down and start over with certain controls in place. I know nothing about where they are based only that there are similarities to both companies feather it be subject matter, requirements in joining, or what. So that really tells you nothing, except my opinion. I can tell you if there is another meet and greet, we would attend. We enjoyed everyone, ambiance was good, it was all good. Some of us old timers felt the change and still miss the ole EP. but there are changes in everyone’s life that is needed. I love everyone and enjoy the communication, sexual or otherwise
