"What if Pennywise leaps out of that bathroom and kills me right now?"

@GentlyWithAChainsaw *Thinks somebody saw a certain movie recently* 🙄

Yeeep, and the thing is, I'm VERY easily scared.

@GentlyWithAChainsaw My younger brother saw that and I think even he found it scary by the sounds of it. 👀

You should check it out, it was pretty good. The jumpscares and effects certainly weren't cheap. My mom went in very critical and admitted afterward that really the old one was very hoaky, much of her praise of the original and looking down on the new adaption was based on nostalgic feelings.

@GentlyWithAChainsaw I think I may end up watching it. I watched 1990 version as a child and was the Pennywise guy disturbing...

I found him disturbing but not particularly scary, I guess? I've read part of the book now and the new one gives me a much more similar vibe.

@GentlyWithAChainsaw Do you think it's a better or more accurate film-book adaptation this time?
GentlyWithAChainsaw · 22-25, F
While they certainly changed elements of it to better suit the era(to make it take place a bit later in time, specifically 27 years after the original takes place) I think the general mood and many particular scenes stay true to the book.

27 years... looks like you've got a point there.
