If humanity was put on trial by an advanced race of aliens, how would you defend humanity and argue for its continued existence?

They've been on trial for a while now, but we're still debating whether they should be allowed to continue to exist, or not.
We're currently hung between the two, n can't make up our minds one way, or the other.
