Anybody else see that ToysRus just filed for bankruptcy ?

Another long time high street retailer gone. Unless they can find a buyer.

It's hardly surprising, it's really hard to compete with online retailers and the fact kids these days get smartphones early on, for entertainment.

@BurstMe95 As an engineer, our advancements in technology and information sharing greatly excites me. Unfortunately, it also exposed very clearly the ugliness of human greed and hubris.

Technology is merely a tool, most people were/are just not ready to use it.

@SW-User Companies want to maximize profits at the expense of costs.
That may mean more jobs at Amazon and the like. But you can bet they'll all be minimum wage with ridiculous targets and a constant turnover of staff.

@BurstMe95 I'd imagine something along the lines of what happens during black friday, black market of goods exclusively owned by certain individuals and so on...nothing good :(
