If you found glass in your food, would you throw away the whole lot?

I my husband is coming back from work soon. I made really nice fragrant rice, I couldn't wait till he came because it's lunch time now so I decided to serve myself first since I'm pregnant. I found clear glass about 3 cm in my rice, thankfully I'm very picky so I was swirling the spoon around when I discovered it. I was horrified and dumped the rest, I already ate major half by that time. I broke a jar of jam this morning, I thoroughly cleaned the whole kitchen. The tables and everything. The big pot was uncovered on the stove top this morning my theory is that the glass flew in the big pot and perhaps I didn't rince it out as well as I should have. There's no other way the glass could have made it in the dish. Okay so do I dump the whole pot of rice or hope that was the only glass in there?

Plz dump it all if there is any doubt / tell him about it/ just order out so you don't have to go through the process of cooking again & he'll understand : )

Yeah I'd throw it away. There could be small shards I cannot easily see and I would not risk it cutting my insides.

I think that would be the best plan, I hope you aren't already suffering internal injuries.

@SaintAdelaide Ouch, I just was worried since you'd said you'd already eaten half, of your serving I assumed. Thought you might have ingested some glass particles, I hope neither you nor your kids did. Good luck.

@Raythedevil oh yeah I served my children before the glass discovery, I read online. I nor the kids show internal bleeding symptoms. That would be stomach pain, throat pain, vomiting, or dizziness. Or worst case blood in stool. I did chuck the rest in the garbage. Thanks for reading my post and commenting ☺
