A lot could be said, but it's rather complex and there's no easy solution. It does furthermore involve countries outside of Europe. No doubt that the extremists working from inside Europe has to be isolated to prevent the continuous converting of younger frustrated Muslims into extremists with hate for the countries that have given them a place to live.
The issues inside Europe are more than just the Muslim extremists. Like in the US we are also dealing with right-wing extremists as stated by @SW-User. She's furthermore correct about Europe not being one nation. Not even every European country is within the EU, and political systems are very different from each other.
It's not a black and white issue, and even less solution.

You are jumping to conclusions that might fit into your reality but certainly weren't included in my reply. Like said it's rather complex and a lot of countries outside as inside Europe would have to do adjustments in their way dealing with among others, Muslim countries. I fear the "right" won't be ready to walk in such directions needed. They might be afraid of what those solutions might mean.

We'd have to steep deep. We would have to work with recruitment, or more precisely breaking the flow of new recruiting made by the extremists organizations. You can kill as many leaders as you want, new ones will only come into the scene. They however, won't be able to operate without their recruits. Now this will take a fully different approach and rhetoric than is at use today. Now, this will be for the issues around Muslim extremists. Then there will be the right wing extremists...

If you can't recognize this without examples it's either 1) you're looking for examples you can shoot down, or 2) blindness towards how among others, Trump is using rhetoric that helps the further recruitment of more Muslim extremists in the world. On top of this will be the financial interests that seems to be dictating more than real threats.
