We live in a world that we shape around us according to our abilities. The society functions in a specific way. To get what you want, there's always a race to the top. Once you are there, everything is either great, or you just don't care about things that used to bother you before.

I don't think so. If people would actually go talk to their neighbors they'd see we're not all as screwed as we're told we are.
