Pet Names... do you like them?

Babe, Hun, Darling etc... Aaaaaaaargh I really can't express how much it makes me cringe when people call me by a pet name.

Is it just me?

My Husband and I call each other pet names. I call my children pet names as well as my grandchildren, but I would never and I mean never call anyone else by a pet name and it makes me feel disrespected when someone other than my Husband calls me by a pet name.

@SW-User Yeah I know what you mean - I guess I meant it from strangers/ relative strangers. Though the three I mention would freak me out if my wife used them
