i am very impressed with Texans...

They seem to have braved the storm, and so far dealing with the aftermath with unbridled competence and heroism. They came out in force to help neighbors they didn't even know. This is a true example of the American spirit. Do you agree?
Yes, tragedy brings out the best in people.
I'm sure some morons will loot but only a minority.

@RippinKlouds are u from Texas? Shelters have been and are being set up for those from flood inundated areas. Average citizens came out in force with their own boats to rescue flood victims. Two of these citizens, after rescuing many flood victims, lost their lives continuing the mission of getting to flood victims; after being warned it was getting to dangerous. They went out again anyway, and paid the ultimate price.

Honestly? I think they are foolish to build a city in a flood prone area right on the coast and not to atleast design it with flooding as a forefront concern. The original founders of the city didn't take that into account.
