What is your REAL need satisfied when posting in here or any other Social Forum that you can't obtain talking with real life friends?

I don't take offence or do I feel so threatened by shallow replies such as some of the puerile ones I read. My "quest" is trying to understand what makes people use Social Forums when the alternative are real friends. Maybe the absence of real friends ? My question falls on deaf ears of course because anonimity often breeds stupidity. NO, I have no need to block anyone.
