Why are American and British tourists so bad at being tourists?

I've never seen a British tourist dressed like that and I should know since I am one.

okay, checked your profile. you're in Norway, and i still don't know how to answer this question. it just makes me curious about how much people from Norway look differently than Americans and Britons.

edit after reading thread: if you came to where i am, you damn sure would be in a pair of shorts and a tank top with sandals, or the equivalent. it's hot as hell here. but you might not wear a fanny-pack/bum-bag. those have alternatives.
