what is the reasoning behind the fact that many public schools in the u.s. do not even hold fire drills anymore?

@Cindy They've been treating kids like fragile pieces of china instead of preparing them for the real world. In the real world you don't get a gold star for sowing up at work. You have to work and put up with a lot of crap you don't like. And sometimes you *gasp* lose. It's not the end of the world.
