Were you beaten as a child?

I'm sorry about that. I feel that if a child is going to have abusive parents, then they should not even be allowed to have kids. They don't deserve children. Just my opinion.

@Pandabutter I'm so sorry you went through that! :( Same here. The only reason it stopped physically is because I ran away. They still are verbally, and psychologically abusive to me when I'm dumb enough to have anything to do with them.

@SW-User That's why I moved out, I won't ever let my children know them. I think they were more upset when I told them that I hated their religion (Jehovah Witnesses). But then again they had to out me in front of the congregation.

@Pandabutter Wow...we have very similar stories. My ("Christian") parents have no relationship with my children either. I won't allow it.

@SW-User ☹ I'm sorry. I haven't let my wife or fiance meet them, only because if they said anything to them, I'd kill 'em.

@Pandabutter I was stupid unfortunately. I ran away, got pregnant, married the guy, and walked straight from the frying pan into the fire....A most costly mistake indeed. Now, 22 years later, I'm finally realizing I'm worth more than this and I'm trying to get out. Be VERY careful in choosing a mate. Those who have been abused often fall in love with abusers. I'm not insinuating anything about your fiance or wife, I'm just saying....know your worth.

@SW-User I've been in those kinds of relationships in the past. These are the only my life revolves around, other than my kids.
