Have you ever had to break up with someone despite being in love, due to circumstances? (distance, family problems, etc)

Yes, it was very messy and I don't miss them as we are in touch as friends. He is in a new relationship and has a wee girl and I am very happy for him. I am also in a relationship and have moved on but he will always be a little part of me. That sounds a bit schmaltzy but it's true lol
