I'm an atheist and do not follow any religion. They are all oppressive. Maybe you're not aware of the history of Christian violence directed at Muslims throughout history up to the present day, for example, the invasion of Iraq that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Muslims.
You sound like the typical ignorant American bigot who thinks he's discovered some secret knowledge because you came across a list of disgusting Koranic verses. There are just as many disgusting Bible verses, and just because you haven't heard of Christian militias like the Antibalaka that are just as brutal as the Islamic ones, doesn't mean they don't exist.
I lived in a nearly 100% Muslim country for several years, and nothing happened to the few Christian families that lived in my town while I was there. A few people tried to convert me, but it was not even close to the hysterical nagging I endured from Christian evangelists in the U.S.
Obviously Islamic terror is a problem, although not in the U.S. where most terror is committed by white Christian males - Jared Loughner, James Holmes, Robert Dear, Dylann Roof, not to mention the unjustified killings of black people by the police.

That being said, ALL religions are equally oppressive when combined with state authority. The solution is total separation of church and state as the first amendment requires. Unfortunately this isn't the case in every country.
