I have tried to encourage people--esp. extremists--to think of what they would do IF all the allegiances & players in some event/scenario under discussion were reversed.
IF people DO do this, it helps to reign in the rhetoric, and self-moderate the discussion.
@SomeMichGuy And I'm sure you also found that people would rather feel better about themselves instead of just bettering themselves. Social media is just about validating yourself
I have privately written messages to most Christians here to ask them to remember to be loving since Jesus wants us to! But its hard when people come at us at times with lies, faulty accusations, and talk to others about us! Because it hurts!
@Carazaa private messages are discreet, but it's important that we publicly demonstration that Christians don't look the other way when it's Christians, or people posing as Christians, who are misbehaving
A "clique" is an exclusive group of people that rarely allows others to join.😏 I'm not part of any of that. A lot of them do look the other way with the mentality "as long as it isn't happening to me." When I see someone being mistreated here I often speak out. 🗣️STOP!
@Peaches then maybe it was a bad example with HJ. Yeah, he's a weirdo. Since he calls himself a (former?) pastor and a conservative, etc. I find him a big embarrassment.
It sucks that you'll see that clique mentality anywhere you go. I suppose it's just human nature. We aren't far removed from our tribal roots in the grand scheme
i hate cliques i have people right now that are harassing me because i called them out on their stupid behaviors... making up lies about me or bashing me or creating fake profiles of me or had.. its all juvenile behaviors. its like you cant do anything especially when you blocked them or blocked each other.
@SW-User I don't know if "clique" is the right word. To me, in a clique, everyone knows each other. A camp is made of people who have some important things in common, but don't necessarily know each other
