Do you ever feel you've been taken for granted? How much did it hurt?

Peaceful · F Best Comment
Often. Some days it hurts more than others. It really depends on my mood and perspective in that moment.
Zoranna · F
@Peaceful I find it extremely difficult to say no. Must practice. :-)
Peaceful · F
@Zoranna please do! It's one of the most important words we each need to say more often. It helps us set boundaries and protects us from being depleted.
Zoranna · F
@Peaceful Wise words, thank you.

No, with constant awareness, such diseases do not come near.

Besides, there are many versions to a story, his, hers, the viewer (3rd person's) and the true version.

👍

@sspec That's true too, it's all perspective.
@Zoranna 👍

SW-User

I find it's mainly the other person that loses out and that they'll never even know. It doesn't have to be a sad thing, we are all learning (remembering) who we really are.
SW-User
I used to until I put the person doing it out of my life. It hurt a lot until I was free.
Zoranna · F
@SW-User It does hurt, pleased you've moved on.
SW-User
@Zoranna Thanks, I still carry the pain and I think that kind of long term emotional damage takes a while to really shake off, but moving on has been great.
Zoranna · F
@SW-User I know exactly what you mean. I wish you well.
SW-User
Everyone inevitably feels this way sometimes. It hurts a lot, but life always changes.
Zoranna · F
@SW-User Very true.
SW-User
@Zoranna that's what keeps me from killing myself. It always changes. Change isn't always bad.
Zoranna · F
@SW-User Don't even think of doing that. Wishing the best for you.
SW-User
Yes, by my ex. Felt very bad. Other times, I knew they'd realize it after I left, and they did.
Zoranna · F
@SW-User Realised it too late, such a shame.
Yes it hurts really bad, especially when it's someone you thought loves you
Zoranna · F
@Marielaveau Especially then.
SW-User
Yes. I do, that's why it's better to withdraw.
Zoranna · F
@SW-User Feels safer doing that.
SW-User
@Zoranna For me it does because if I reveal my inner thoughts and feelings, which is seldom, then I often get criticised. I'm sensitive that way and take such slights as an attack on me and who I am on a deeply personal level. I realise that I'm super sensitive. Therefore it's just easier for me NOT to reveal. For the most part anyway.
Zoranna · F
@SW-User I know exactly what you mean as I'm the same and tend to bottle things up rather than risk confrontation. Shouldn't feel I have to though. :-(
I felt like I've been abused.
Zoranna · F
@WarmAtNight Yes, abuse by neglect.
nicedave · 41-45, M
Yeah and it hurt alot
Zoranna · F
@nicedave I'm sure it did. *hugs*
Peaches · F
There's no way to measure heartache.🥀💔
Zonuss · 41-45, M
I have before. It didn't hurt, it just let me know what to expect from certain people that we chose to be in our lives. We should only go for what we need.
