@puck61 Being a "literature girl" perhaps you've heard of Richard Brautigan. He was a counter culture poet / writer. It's an urban legend that he emptied his brains with a high caliber handgun, and left a note that said, "Messy! Isn't it?" He did blow his brains out, but his daughter objects to the 'rumor'. It was rather messy as he was found two weeks after the fact, and there was a lot of gray matter involved.

I like Richard Brautigan. He managed to use his name to make inane observations into profitable poetry. He wrote "Trout Fishing in America". It had nothing to do with 'trout fishing'. He had a mild surrealism to his writing that was charming, but some people pretentiously claim to actually understand his work!

@SW-User His poetry was clear enough, but he would write about accidentally dropping food and make thousands of dollars from it! You have to respect that!
