the internet is great for flirting with strangers that I'd never have the balls to approach in real life, but serious romance never works out.

Interesting comment! Are you really saying that you are reluctant to approach some people whom you would otherwise really like to meet?

Many of my girlfriends were like that when I first met them, but I have always been the opposite. So much so, that guys are sometimes taken 'aback' by my straightforwardness. If you saw someone of interest, why would you not just walk up to them and tell them?

@swirlie its not that easy for me either.. im incredibly introverted.. not knowing what to say or come off as aloof or the rejection.
