Why do we feel empty at times?

Consumerism and lack of connection to others- shopping, stuff, is too often a substitute for love and affection. But if not shopping -there is something else put in place of that to value- so a disconnect happens over time.

When the world was bigger- and families did things together-(all the time) we had less of that emptiness.

Used to be we took a car and went places. Together- and so what if not all liked the destination- somehow, fun would be made.

Now 17 year old Jimmy is using his Dad's second car.

19 year old Nancy has a job and bought a second hand vehicle.

Mom has hers.

Dad 's second vehicle is a truck

And they all have cells and a social media life- Even IF all 4 are at home- they talk via framebook and cells- not person to person.

Yes, framebook, any idea how many thousands of marriages where one has been slandered on framebook "framed" and they are no longer married?

@Elandra77 Sad!😢🥀
@Peaches I know. I have lived long enough to watch all of that happen- and to see it all come to an end.

Technology -and science has brought this on, in part. There are other factors and I'l keep them silent as they may offend some.
