Looks durable. Probably a cotton nylon blend or olefin herculon type fabric.
The pattern is sometimes called pique. It's one of the loop slip stitch pattens.
The color looks like charcoal or graphite.
If an experienced interior decorator could feel it and see in person they could give you the exact name of what that is.
