If terrorists are that desperate to murder someone, why don't they target this guy?

In revenge for him doing this

to a totally innocent guy? It would be easier to forgive terrorists if they targeted our bad guys, wouldn't it?

@Flipflopgal You answered your own question. They chose the date because of the event and people being in large groups. They cared about that. And it is just one example. In some instances they target specific ethnicities, religions and even political orientations.

And you misunderstood me. I said it is terrorism what happened to the victim. An act of Terror. Not what would be done to the guy doing it.
