What is the most extravagant thing you have ever bought for yourself?

@Primnproper Nope! He is stuck with me! But even five years later I'm like "I spent HOW much on that dress"!!!!!

@Primnproper It made me feel beautiful, and I still pull it out to look at it. But worth what I paid? I don't know-it seems like such a shame that it only gets worn once-unless our daughter wears it...a long time from now. (She's two)

@Primnproper Well, it would certainly save her Daddy and I a lot of money. 😂 I shudder to think how much a wedding is going to cost in 20 years!

@MrsKatherineArch my daughter got married just last week..I couldn't believe what they charge for stuff now. The church on its own was 550 pounds which must be about 600/750 dollars..

@Primnproper Yep! And then the reception $12,000. When all was said and done, we spent $20,000. And that was trying to be not over the top.

@MrsKatherineArch well she was lucky as being a florist I did all her flowers and decorations and her wedding cake to..

@Primnproper Your daughter is very lucky! I am still annoyed that they charge extra to set the cake up. Why wouldn't they just say the cake is $1,175, instead of $950 for the cake, $150 for the set up, and the $75 deposit on the pillars.

And people wonder why brides go psychotic before the wedding....

@Primnproper Yeah-the florist wasn't as bad. But the caterer.... "ok, that doesn't include the service charge at 15%"....

@Primnproper Yes! If I had it to do over again I'd do a backyard barbecue and wear burlap, and have cupcakes
