@Dlrannie My father's father, who was extremely short statured, married very statuesque, very beautiful woman. Of course he was not the greatest looking man around. I never could figure out how they could have endured the kinds of ridicule they both must have endured in the early 20th century. He was just under 5' tall. She was 5'11' and 7 kids and around 25 grand kids later, she passed away. He lived another 10 years but had a little bit of romance toward the end of his time. Three widows were constantly bickering about which one was his real girlfriend and bothering him by bringing him cakes and other foods that he would share with me.
Well that sure sounds like a made up story. But it's way too funny not to be true. Besides. I actually witnessed all of this. No wonder I'm a little bit off my rocker when I should be limping around with a cane.
