@midnightrose right on. I taught myself first in the sink (holding my breath),then in the public pool because my brother threatened to throw me off the dock at the lake to force me sink or swim. I scared him because I had taught myself to swim under water very well and hid under the dock and he thought he had drowned me.

@FilthyBeast I guess your brother really helped you in a roundabout way. Pretty sneaky of you with the swimming under water.
