I hate how "I'm unemployed and I need a job" aren't acceptable interview answers for "why do you want to work here?"

I totally agree, what I hate the most though is usually they prefer to hire people that already have a job. It makes no sense, especially when they say they want someone loyal, well if they were loyal to their employers they wouldn't be looking for a job elsewhere.
