What's the worse thing your mother called you?

My real name - and no I am not going to give it on here!

It's a perfectly ordinary one, but I hated it, and only started to accept it when I started to learn of various men with rewarding careers in public life, with (despite?) the same name.


Oh, and not so much my Mam calling me anything, but telling me I was very intelligent, which I found patronising and disheartening because I had become unavoidably slow and mediocre academically. I found out only a few years ago she was right in theory, from an assessment made when I was young, and noted in my NHS medical records. This was about something she would never tell me, but by the time something inspired me to obtain my record it was too late to ask my parents as they'd both died.
