Isn't it kind of rude for a person to say something about a person not being "educated"?

Is this just an American thing?
TheCoolestCat · 31-35, M

Well.. it isn't rude if it's true? Perhaps the way they've said it.. would be considered rude. Also it's not an American thing.

not entirely rude no, suppose it depends upon the tone and other factors.

I think Europeans may have a different way of seeing the same thing.

@MasterLee for the rest of the world America and Liberal is a non-sequitor, but ya seemed to miss in a world just a little less capitalist than American people may care less and just help instead.

yes because it tries to insinuate that your view is invalid because you don't understand enough about the situation.
your level of education prohibits you from ever being able to understand.
It's the sort of crap some folk used to come out with in the Reagan/Thatcher-esque political rubbish of the 1980's.

Rutterman · 46-50, M
Don't know if it's an American thing or necessarily rude, but this American thinks it's better to point out what's wrong with what someone said than to attack them in a personal way.
Miram · 31-35, F
The meaning of education isn't even agreeable. And I see people assigning that word to anyone holding a different point of view.

It's not rude, just shallow.
sogdianrock · 61-69, M
hi Motleycrue667
Education is a commodity and so lack of education is a coded class put down.
best wishes
:)
TheProphet · M
Not rude if it's obviously true.
FearfulHarmony49 · 22-25, T
I don't even care.
