Suddenly you could record ideas; news; maps etc. people could see worlds beyond their own.

Fortunately(usually) dawn comes every day. Can you imagine the first stories 'told?' Can you imagine the handicap for a clan that couldn't communicate against one that could? Just playing a lil gadfly. Forgive me? Your point is well-taken.
