Sort of, as in not wishing to harm them. I've had a fear, aversion reaction to them since I was a child, but have almost become fond of a large brown spider that resides not far from my bed.
Yesterday, when I though 'he'd' died, I felt sad. Over the months of him/her avoiding capture, every time, I felt we'd reached an agreement: "I won't hurt you, so stay away from me". But then I found that the spider wasn't quite dead, so I captured it and put it outside in a place with plants. I even poured some water near, in case he needed it.
Later on, I saw a large brown spider in the same general hang-out (inside). 😶🌫
