We're pleased to announce some great news.
Private Notes about User 📝
You can now write Private Notes about any user.
This can be useful if you want to remember details, events or anything worth noting, in the future, about that user.
These notes are accessible from the Profile page, the Blocked/Muted pages, and in the Private Messages sidebar (expanded by default, there).
Just press the "Notes" button :)
Take Photo with Camera 🤳🏻
We've made it easier to share photos without leaving SW.
Previously, when pressing the "Choose File" or "Upload File" button on most devices, you could only select existing files from the File Explorer or Gallery, with no option to take a new photo.
Now, we've introduced a built-in camera interface that lets you take a photo and upload it instantly without leaving SW.
To use it, simply press the "Take Photo" button, located next to the "Upload Image" button in various places like when creating a new post, sending a private message, updating your profile picture, or uploading images to your albums.
Near Unlimited Image Uploads 🖼
As promised, we've removed the individual quotas previously applied to Photo Albums, which often required users to delete older images to make room for new ones.
Previously, the limits were quite small, with non-VIP users allowed only 500 private images, 500 album images, and 2,000 post images (with higher limits for VIP users).
Now, we've implemented a single overall limit of 50,000 images (just to help prevent spam and abuse). If you're a VIP user, this limit is increased to 2 Million images, which is practically unreachable.
Broader Image Formats support 🎨
Over the past month, we've made significant updates to how we process the images you upload. We're now accepting almost any image file type or format, whether it's JPG, GIF, PNG, WEBP (animated or static), AVIF, and more.
In addition, we now support Transparent static images (in addition to animated GIFs, which already supported transparency).

We currently allow uploads of static images and animated GIFs. Soon, we'll allow uploads of actual videos with sound! Stay tuned.

How about making the notes searchable? Just for ourselves though. That way when i remember if a friend enjoys pumpkin spice or whatever but can't recall which friend it was, i could do a search thru my notes without having to look at every friend's profile until i find it.
@froggtongue Good idea. There is now a Private Notes overview page, which includes a Search field too: https://similarworlds.com/settings-notes - accessible through the Account Settings page.
@Nuno i can click on the link you just put in your message and it works. Love it. And maybe i'm just not able to figure out though i've looked, but where is it? I see it has something to do with settings. Is it Account Settings or Privacy Settings or some place else?
