Hello all!
We would like to receive feedback on your ideas and preferences for SimilarWorlds offering users the ability to create their own Groups. (Sub-Groups)

Please submit suggestions / ideas for:

• The General Process for users to create their own Groups on SW.

• The Minimum Requirements for users to have the privilege of creating their own Groups (and how many groups per user).

• What Abilities should a Group owner/creator have? Should they have certain "Moderation Power" within their created group (and what exactly?)

• How Necessary is it for SW users to be able to create their own groups (especially since we already have "Post Collections").

[sep]

On-Topic comments here will be taken as Feedback for user-created/owned Groups, but doesn't guarantee that every or most ideas will be integrated.

SW Staff do already have some ideas in mind for how this could and should be done, but we would still like to hear feedback from users, to better shape our ideas to best serve our user-base.

Off-Topic comments will be ignored (as usual). Kindly do not post off-topic comments on any posts (Admin or otherwise).
One can eventually lose the ability to interact on certain posts/groups, if they continuously break Code of Conduct.

Kind regards!

I would like that. But I do hope that it’s monitored, so groups promoting hatred, or extreme fetishes (for example) aren’t allowed to remain.
@bijouxbroussard yeah, the icky stuff.
@bijouxbroussard this ☝🏾
@bijouxbroussard That's a bit biased just because you don't like them

@bijouxbroussard I have more than just a few reservations about this.

People can become dictators.
@abracadoo22 Hate groups ? Go to Stormfront. Extreme fetishes ? Go to Fetlife. The app for SW is now marketed as a Teen site, and I bet a lot of parents would be "biased". I like the site and don’t want to see it shut down.

@bijouxbroussard oh I agree there. It's far more than just those two things. There are dictators on Reddit.
@DeWayfarer I was talking to the other fellow. If they moderate it according to their own TOS, hate groups and extreme fetishes shouldn’t have any place here.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@bijouxbroussard sorry I somehow didn't see the tag. 😴
@abracadoo22 she did say “extreme” fetishes… and I honestly read it as illegal stuff. Stuff that’s clearly illegal, immoral, and against TOS.
@bijouxbroussard Sorry I was not on about hate groups, I should have made it clear.
Fetish stuff was always on EP, they were at their peak of subscribers, then the moment they got salty about titillation, because they could afford to let some go, some people were kicked out, and others left... in droves. A couple of years later it folded and SW emerged. Fetlife is a pay site if I'm not mistaken. You can also navigate SW by avoiding such groups in most cases. I do so quite well, hadn't noticed hate groups existed here in the years I've been on SW because I generally look for things I'm into. 'Teen' site? Marketed by who? I could say the same to you, go elsewhere for a total kink-free site I think you'd be hard-pressed but try a Christian site maybe where you can talk about cats and haberdashery without all the iky stuff. Adults tend to talk about sex and most people have fetishes, it's part of adult life, not so much teen chat. Ban the teens who log in as 20-somethings.
@abracadoo22 This is how the app appears. "Teen”. Why would anyone coming to a teen site expect fetish content ?
@bijouxbroussard I still don't see the word 'teen'. But will take your word for it. If so it is clearly miss labeled, as there are people of all ages here on SW, some in their 70's. Are you going to say that anyone older than 19 should be prejudicially excluded too? It's the same on Reddit and Quora both of which have people of all ages and both of which have all sorts of groups/topics including hard fetishes. Reddit Q&A's have had some high-ranking people guesting on a site that also has Scat groups and Incest. And as it says at the bottom of your screen grab " (SW) Is a unique Forum/Social Networking App that allows users (not TEENS specifically) to discover and connect with others who share similar interests (not non-adult or excluding Fetishes) personalities and experiences (because experiences can include anything in life including sexual fetishes), people who wish to Vent, share their Stories, ask Questions (does not mention excluding adult experiences or kinky content) or find Answers".

@bijouxbroussard or even more illegal, immoral, and disgusting stuff. At least the things you mentioned as icky as they are include consent and adults.

@abracadoo22 look at Google's description about an ⅛ of the way down.
@bijouxbroussard Are Reddit (a site where even Barack Obama has done an AMA) or Quora marked in such a way? I don't know?🤷‍♂️
Of course, it doesn't, but you are being narrow-minded and prejudicial again. Some people have a tickling fetish or a sneezing fetish. A fetish can be absolutely anything to anyone. I'll bet even your parents would surprise you! And not everyone is into trainspotting or hunting animals for pure pleasure either, we are all different and ALL have unique experiences. That's life and that is what SW is about. As I said maybe Google Play has mislabeled, why don't you take it up with them?
@abracadoo22
I could say the same to you, go elsewhere for a total kink-free site I think you'd be hard-pressed but try a Christian site maybe where you can talk about cats and haberdashery without all the iky stuff.
FYI, you’d be surprised how many hardcore "pervs" also identify as Christians. So, no. But the app is marketed to "teens". I don’t know if the other groups are. Unfortunately, some adults target those they believe to be underage with fetish material.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@bijouxbroussard to be fair to SW those ratings have nothing to do with SW.

Google has their own staff that rates apps. That whole line is Google's evaluation.
@DeWayfarer Yes that's what I was thinking
@abracadoo22 she’s literally giving you very specific fetishes that are not only objectionable but sometimes even illegal or immoral. This isn’t about sneezing or tickling. You are being very disingenuous and it makes a person wonder why. What sort of fetish stuff are you so invested in to say all this to cloud the issue.
@DeWayfarer What would happen if SW notified Google that adult content like extreme fetishes and nudity were allowed on the site ? Are they unable to do that ?
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@bijouxbroussard possibly they just accepted whatever google gave them.

This site has no influence at all with Google. In fact Google is the one that told them to restructure the groups, so that google could index them quicker.
@bijouxbroussard Yes true about Christians! They are often the worst. I don't condone adults contacting children for fetish talk, but this can happen on Facebook and insta, no? All the more reason to take it up with Google Play
@abracadoo22 it’s unlikely the heavy Fetish (illegal stuff) content would be allowed to stay up on their platform and be used to troll for victims. So no. Not at all similar.
