🛠️ Content source priority & Smart Feeds v2 ☀️

The Customize Feed option "[big]Content source priority[/big]" has now been added.

You can slide this option towards:
• More from Groups
• More from Users

to affect where most of your feed content is coming from.

A configuration like this one (below), may in the interim, provide you with a feed that is a bit closer to the previous "Following" feed:

(The current options are still far from perfect.
Still being worked on and improved, as we continue to receive more feedback.)

[big]Smart Feeds v2[/big]

Possibly more importantly, we are looking into a Smart Feeds (Customize) v2, which will revamp the set of Customization Options available, and how they affect your feed.

At present, there is a lot going on with the options, where most of the slider settings shift priority of content from one source to the other.

We are looking into a possible change to this, which may be more understandable and easier for users to operate, and also, provide you with more refined control of your feed content.

The current Customize Feed options:

Customize Feed v2: (currently under consideration / planning)

With the v2, there will be more direct control of each source of content, that appears in your Feeds.

For example:
A user can use the settings:

"Users you Follow" to Maximum
and
All other options to Minimum

to essentially get a close replica of the previous "Following" Feed.

As this will Maximize "Following" as the source of your content,
while Minimizing or Erasing the other sources from appearing in your feed.

Conversely, if if a user prefers to see "All Users", similar to the previous Default/Global feed,
they could use the settings:

"Other Users" to Maximum
and
All other options to Minimum

to get a feed that is mostly Globalized, and NOT specific to your Following, Subscribed Groups, Relevant Users/Groups.

Thank you for one of the version 2 addition. Namely the group slider!

With my number of groups subscribed this should really be all posts.

I know it won't be all posts, yet with 4,122 groups and nearly all the new groups you would think it would be.

We will see though.

Having a math minor I learned statistics are only good when you are not attempting to prove a point.

If you want to use statistics use a link to a running statistical generator that shows the current as well as past performances if you must.

Anything else, since no one can do their own comparisons, is not worthy of even mentioning.

It actually makes you look like you're rigging those statistics.

Yet that's your choice. 🤷‍♂️

Finally.

What is up with the groups last page button? Even worse the page before? 🤷‍♂️

I know a lot of groups were deleted, yet must I back page 30 pages every time I want to know how many groups I have? 🤷‍♂️

Statistics are good when they're relevant and correct, which is the case here.

Making changes to a website like this requires a lot of statistics analysis, so that we know whether we're doing good or bad.

I don't see the point you're trying to make. We're just being transparent to users and showing what our internal data tells us.

I've just run a counter recalculation, so your Groups pages should be fixed now.

@Nuno you're attempting to make a point though, that's ALWAYS a bad practice! Use a link to a running generator if you must at all!

Otherwise it makes you look bad when you use screenshots.

You could easily pick the right moments to do screenshots is the point!

In math disproofs are always more valuable than "theories". It only takes one disproof. Theory's are plentiful.

@Nuno thank you for the groups recalculation! 😊
