๐Ÿ”’ Private Posts ๐Ÿšท for your Friends & Circles Only ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿคโ€๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿ‘ญ๐Ÿ‘ฌ๐Ÿ‘ซ

Similar Worlds has now added the ability for users to create
Private (Circle/Friends Only) Posts!

Steps:

โ˜€๏ธ Create a New Post: https://similarworlds.com/post

โ˜‘๏ธ Select a Post Type

โœ’๏ธ Write your Post Title & Content

... then in the options available below the post content box, users should now see the following options:

Visible to: ๐Ÿ”˜ Everyone | ๐Ÿ”˜ Circle/Friends

"Private Posts" allow users to communicate much more freely and openly, with a form of privacy, between trusted Friends and Acquaintances.

Posts marked as "Visible to Circle/Friends", can only be Seen and Accessed by those in the poster's Circle and Friends Lists.

Once a post has been created as "Private" (Circle/Friends), it cannot be converted into Public (Everyone) thereafter (for privacy reasons, to the existing commenters).

We hope that you will be able to enjoy and make good use of this and other new features we have worked hard on and released for you all!

Kind regards!

This is definitely a great idea, but, some of the people whose posts I enjoy I am not friends with. Then there are those posts I stumble across which are thoughtful and lovely, these people again I am not friends with. And those that have left thoughtful comments on my posts, again I am not friends with. I was never one for hitting that friend button. I guess it's kinda backfired on me now.

@StormInaTeacup by default, all posts are "Public".

If a user creates a post as "Private" (Friend/Circles Only), that likely means that the topic of that post, is one they prefer to only discuss amongst friends/familiars.

We expect most posts to still be "Public", except for those where poster prefers some privacy for that particular thread.
@Andrew which I think you will find many users will use, you just have to see comments and current posts. I am not saying it isn't a good concept.
