๐Ÿ ๏ธ "Home" is where all the Posts are

Hi everyone, ๐Ÿ–๏ธ

Similar World's new place for Posts is the "Home" tab.

[c=#BF0000]We believe we have finished our changes to the design, and we apologize for any inconveniences that this caused to some of our members.[/c]

These changes to the design will help us considerably in consolidating the Groups and organize them better. Those coming changes will not affect the user interface.

In addition, we have made it much easier to switch between Filters for the Feeds.
With just one click/tap, you can filter Posts by the Groups you follow, or by the Members/Friends you follow:

---

You can customize your Posts Feed by going to Home and press the "Customize Feed" button:

You can then select whether you want to include comments, and how much relevancy:

---

Thank you for your support and we hope you continue to stay with us.

We are constantly listening to your suggestions, so please keep giving them to us, as they are very important to the future of Similar Worlds.

Very kind regards, ๐Ÿงก
- The SW Team

The group search only shows a pull down list with ONLY 10 groups, rather than the pages and pages of groups it did before.

So I rarely can find a group I want. So I have just started choosing the group "I Groups" as a default, and using the Title to convey the meaning of my post.

@JoyfulSilence What "pages and pages of grous" are you referring to? The normal Group Search is still available as before (no change there):

You can also find more Popular/Active Groups than before, since we added pagination to these:

@Nuno

In the past, I would click the Groups link at the top of the page (white letters on the blue bar with the tri-ball icon). It would change the pane below to show a list of group images and names, that was many pages long. At the top was a white search box. I think it said "type to search groups" (like it still does now). I would fill it in, and (if I recall) I would then hit a magnifying glass icon ๐Ÿ”Ž and the list below would update. Or maybe I just clicked "Enter" on my keyboard (or else "Go" on my smartphone keyboard). It would update the pane below, to show group images and names related to the search term (yet I think this time it was a two-column grid rather than a 1-D list). It often went all the way the bottom of the page, and then you could go to the next page, etc. It often had many more than 10 groups, often spanning many pages. It usually ended eventually, though.

Now, when I do the same thing, there is no longer a magnifying glass, just a green โœ–๏ธ that clears the box. Rather, when I type in a search term, I get a pop-down list immediately, containing only 10 groups. If I change the search term it updates on the fly. But ten is not enough. It no longer shows the pages and pages of groups like before. There is a light blue link "Browse Groups >>" at the bottom, but it only takes me back to the main list of group images and group names, that are unrelated to the search term.

@JoyfulSilence Thank you very much for your feedback.

Good idea - we will make that "Browse Groups" redirect you to the Search Groups page, searching for the same words you typed on the search box.
Thank you for your patience while we test this.

@Nuno I followed the link you sent above and figured out how to search for more than ten groups. I just hope I can remember the sequence to get there. I think I need to do a general search first, then select groups, rather than select groups first, then search.

@JoyfulSilence Yup - but like I said, we will make the improvement I mentioned above, so that the way you were trying initially will also work as you expected.

@Nuno Cool! Thanks.

I know how hard this stuff is.

I am a mathematician but most of my workdays are spent writing SAS code to test out the math. My code always has bugs and I spend more time debugging than drafting the initial code. I also write system requirements for our IT folks. It is so hard to put formulas and procedures into words. It is usually easier to just write the code myself, but that is not my job. Sometimes I also validate the systems by creating my own SAS code or else use Excel files (often with Visual Basic code) to do the calculations independently.

@JoyfulSilence This improvement is now released.

@Nuno YAY!
