I can't think of any missing groups at the moment, but believe ideas for new groups arise when writing a story. Therefore I don't think it will work to suggest a new group and wait up to a day or two for it to be approved until you can add a story to it.

Instead groups should be created instantly and scheduled for a review, allowing the team to later correct the spelling and grammar or merge it with (almost) identical groups.

That said, merging groups should be handled very carefully. "I love pizza" is not the same as "I like pizza", let alone "I like pepperoni pizza". Instead of merging these groups, those may be linked instead, with an account setting to either include only exact groups or related groups too in the Friends & Groups homepage. I don't know if that's technically feasible, but I think it's certainly worth investigation the possibilities.

@SW-User thanks a lot, good suggestions that will be noted. ๐Ÿ™‚

We have a lot of plans for the improvement of groups, many were written in this earlier post:
https://similarworlds.com/100-Admin-Announcements/2149687-SW-Group-Category-Re-Structuring-Feedback
(I haven't read it in some time, so I'm not sure that all is still relevant)

In order to bring more relevance to the site (link members/posts of similar interest), we want to remove those custom titles from the group name themselves, "I like", "I love"..

However, we also have plans to allow users to express their opinion on each, so their "Opinion/Mood", will be appended to the Group Keyword.

Category: US Politics - Like | Neutral | Dislike

(if there is benefit or demand, we can also expand to: Love + Hate)

With this setup, we have much more properly structured data points to use in our algos, to serve the best content to users.

Their settings (and own posts) will help to tell, what they Like, Dislike.. and what post they may be interested in seeing.

As for the "Post Titles", yes, I believe that users should be creative, and not need to wait on approval, just to have a specific title.

Titles will be given flexibility, just like with Questions (you can write whatever you wish),
but they will be assigned to new groups/categories (similar to the structure described above).

@Andrew That's an even better solution! Flexibility for the win!
