@ImRileyTheDog we have considered that.
We may be working on something very soon, but we would like to use this post, if possible to gather some feedback.

If users were to create groups, then yes, SW staff would need to approve, because the site at this point, is still very "open", we need to be careful of what content/groups are being made available.

Also, the spam creation of groups (or creating more duplicate groups), makes the site more confusing, and disconnected.

So, right now, we are collecting some feedback, before deciding the next step.

Based on the types of groups being suggested, we may have some ideas, or may need to make adjustments.

Our aim is really to stick with more general types of groups, parent and child categories.
This way, the site can be better organized and relevant.

We see many asking about creating groups, so we'd like to know exactly what they have in mind.

@Andrew I totally understand. I just know lots of us miss creating our own groups.

The duplicates definitely were an issue and I would like to avoid them too. Especially with the ones that were imported, so many of the same groups.

I do think we should submit some suggestions and get your approval definitely because of the regulations and duplicates.

But as for suggesting groups, I’m at a lost honestly. There are so many groups about almost any and all interests. I would say we definitely need more dog groups obviously.

Maybe if we submit some of our ideas or post on here, yeah you guys can get an idea of what groups to create for us.
