We want to implement Reactions/Emotions on Similar Worlds at some point.

However, we wonder if including a Dislike/Thumbs Down button would bring us benefits or not.

👍 ❤ 🤣 😯 😥 😡 (👎)

Do you think we should implement?

If not, why do you think a Dislike button wouldn't be a good idea on Similar Worlds?

Please share your honest feedback!

Thank you.

I don't care one way or another. I am free to post my agreement or disagreement with the content of the post using real words, sentences, and even paragraphs. If those who are upset with dissenting opinions are so fragile that they are hurt by people disliking something they post they do need to toughen up a bit.

A thumbs up or heart, and or a thumbs down emoji is just a lazy way of stating your opinion. Surely disagreeing with someone cannot be construed as bullying. We haven't really descended into "group think" have we?

@bowman81 How about just a ✔️ to say I read this? No like, or dislike, just an acknowledgement that it's been read.
@bowman81 There was a dislike option on EP and there was in fact bullying as a result. EP disabled the option almost immediately.

@bijouxbroussard I just can't wrap my mind around how someone disliking something I write can be construed as bullying. I don't expect all to agree with me, in fact I know a lot will not.

How is it bullying to indicate you don't agree with me? Unless the strength of your argument convinces me to change my mind it has no effect at all? Or at least it shouldn't.

Should people be so fragile that they can't stand to see that others don't agree with them?

I am not for or against the concept, I just look at it as a lazy way of indicating an opinion. In fact I would much rather they do state their opinion with some reason than just send an emoji.

@Serenitree or just a heart, a disagree or indifferent, three buttons
@bowman81 That’s because you’re a grownup who would likely only check “dislike” when you disliked the content of a person’s post. People were going to posters and disliking all of their posts, because they disliked the poster. Some were even enlisting friends to do the same. Petty ? Of course, as is most bullying.

@bowman81 hearts are already abused by the soros bots, so dislike will prolly be abused too, it doesn't matter, people who are wise can see through a bot, especially one with 50 views or less.
@bowman81 You will find this amusing, my friend. Today I was called a bully by a man who supported cheating. He said I was a bully as I spoke my strong opinions on the subject. He also said this to a young lady who spoke against him too.
