We want to implement [b]Reactions/Emotions[/b] on Similar Worlds at some point.

However, we wonder if including a [b][u]Dislike/Thumbs Down[/u][/b] button would bring us benefits or not.

No, I think it would cause too much negativity and a breeding ground for arguments.

I think we should encourage a verbal response where possible, and if someone really finds a post distasteful for them to ignore and move on.

@InOtterWords Yes. The only other emoji I'd say would be useful, would be one that says I read this. The heart says I like/love this, and that's not always appropriate. Some things aren't actually likeable. Some are about someone having been abused, and to like it seems wrong, but it might be too hard to find appropriate words with which to respond. A simple acknowledgement that we read it, would be good.
